| Course description |
The course will present small area methodologies for estimating deprivation and inequality indicators. A range of methods based on unit-level and area-level models will be presented as well as the current state of the art in terms of methodological developments. Outlier robust methods and the use of data-driven transformations will be discussed. Applications illustrating the methods with real data from Europe and Mexico alongside R tools for point and uncertainty estimation will be presented. |
